FAQs

Useful Information

Do I need previous experience?

No! None of Loopy Lobes classes require any previous experience of Hoop dance. However, if you are a complete beginner, or have only tried hooping around your waist, I recommend starting with the beginners course. If you are unsure please contact me.

Is there a required level of fitness?

There is no required level of fitness for Loopy Lobes classes, taking inspiration from yoga, there is no hierarchy and I will do my best to make my sessions available to any ability. Turning up, being in and getting to know your own body are your goals; I will focus and adapt my teaching.

What do I need to bring?

  • A yoga mat (for warm ups and cool downs)

  • A water bottle

  • Towel - incase we get a bit sweaty! (Optional)

  • Blanket/Eye pillow - for comfort during relaxation (Optional)

Hoops will be provided!

What should I Wear?

Wear comfy stretchy clothes that are not too loose. Loose clothing can disrupt the hoop and make learning more difficult. Layers are a good idea, you can take them off as you get warmer.  When learning going bare foot will help your stability and grounding. You can buy special grip yoga socks if you don’t like going barefoot.

Can I pay for individual classes on a PAYG basis?

Yes. However, block bookers get priority. You can contact me to discuss payment plans. Also, booking in blocks saves you money.

What does the class involve?

The beginners class generally involves a warm up, a break down of a couple of new tricks, a flow/play session and a cool down. However, this can vary.

How many students are in each class?

My beginners classes have a maximum of 13 students.
